Dr. Carolyn Turbyfill

Dr. Carolyn Turbyfill has over 20 years of experience in strategy, architecture, operation and development of product and services development. This experience includes databases, desktop/server and I/O hardware, server software, operating systems, wireless LAN’s, in both development and operation of online services, security products and services. She spent 8 years at Sun Microsystems where she built one of the first internet appliances, SunScreen SPF100 and one of the first commercial VPN’s (SKIP). She has been Vice President of Engineering (also managing online services and IT) at Companies including Pretty Good Privacy, MessageMedia, @LANTES, Counterpane Internet Security and Immunix.

Dr. Turbyfill has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Cornell University, an M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
